We are proud to launch our Crate Cheshire Academy, offering qualifications in NVQ Level 2 Barbering. By completing our twelve week programme, you will be more than ready to enter the world of barbering with a high level of expertise. This course is suitable for beginners looking for the first step.
All of our courses will be limited to small cohorts to enable our trainers to spend one on one time with each student, offering a level of service you will not get elsewhere. The course will run across three days a week, for twelve weeks and we believe this intensive level of training will leave you well prepared for a barbershop or salon environment. Upon completion of the course, you will graduate with a NVQ Level 2 Diploma and our team will also dedicate time in helping you prepare your CV and start your job search.
The course will be very interactive and you will spend a lot of time working through practical training, rather than relying heavily on theory work. There will of course be written elements to the training to ensure all aspects of Barbering are covered. Our team will ensure each learner is set up and ready for all examinations and will invite clients into the Academy to ensure the best learning experience.

At Crate Cheshire Academy, you will be learning in a real salon environment and will be interacting with clients, which will set you up for when you start your first job upon completion. We will ensure you are confident in what you have learnt and will be there for ongoing support and references when you are looking for your barbering jobs. Given Crate Cheshire Academy operates in a salon environment, there will, at times, be opportunities for employment at Crate Cheshire and our learners will be prioritised when we are looking for future talent in our salons.
Who said hairdressers can't use clippers?

This one day course is designed for qualified hairdressers/barbers looking to brush up on their clipper work and techniques. On this course, you will learn a variety of clippering techniques, including how to skin fade, foil fade.

This two day course is dedicated to smart clippering techniques.

Aimed at hairdressers and barbers who want to learn the Crate Cheshire way of creating the best gentlemen's haircuts for their clients. On this course, you will learn techniques such as skin fading, connecting and disconnecting hair and our range of intelligent clippering techniques.
